Hole Sixteen - 468 Yard Par 4, HCP M-2, W-8

Some golf holes are long and some golf holes are demanding. And then there is the 16th! Long and demanding, the tee shot is downhill to a generous fairway. The approach to be played over the series of bunkers to a green that appears miles away is very risky. Pick your shot in which to bail out on your second and then give it your best shot to get back up and down for par.

This hole is named for Captain Barnabas Paine: 1777-1859

A skilled shipmaster who noted, “I’m going home” as he ventured into a storm. It was mission accomplished when he beached near his home at Paine’s Creek.
